The Massacre
Rashad Khalifa mistranslated (read massacred) verse 74/31 in order to justify his invention - "code 19". He translated 74/30-31 as follows *** Over it is nineteen. We appointed angels to be guardians of Hell, and we assigned their number (19) (1) to disturb the disbelievers, (2) to convince the Christians and Jews (that this is a divine scripture), (3) to strengthen the faith of the faithful, (4) to remove all traces of doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers, and (5) to expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers; they will say, "What did GOD mean by this allegory?" GOD thus sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. None knows the soldiers of your Lord except He. This is a reminder for the people. ***
This is a word for word translation of 74/30-31 "Over it Nineteen AND We have not made/appointed/set the wardens of the fire others than angels; and We have NOT made/appointed/set their number BUT a fitna(punishement/torment) for those who disbelieve(d); that those who have been given the book may attain certainity AND those who believe may increase in faith; AND those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this mathal/parable/symbol/example/description/alegory? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals." (the words that RK ommited are highlighted)
RK massacred the verse 74/31; 1.he omited the word ILLA/only/but/except,which stands in front of FITNA 2.he inserted numbering 3.and he translated fitna,that is actually a noun, as a verb(to disturb) cause all other of his alleged five functions are given in the form of the verb. 4.he inserted in front of the word fitna- word "to/li", BUT, "to" comes ONLY AFTER " fitna for disbelievers" 5.he omited conjunctions waw/and between 2nd and 3rd function and between 3rd and 4th function
All this he is done with a purpose....I`ll explain
Enclosed below the translation of 74:31 by 4 different translators, including that of Rashad Khalifa, to allow the reader to judge for himself whether Rashad Khalifa misrepresented the intended meaning of the verse.
Verse No Khalifa Pickthall Sher Ali Shakir 30 We appointed angels to be guardians of Hell, and we assigned their number (19) (1) to disturb the disbelievers, (2) to convince the Christians and Jews (that this is a divine scripture), (3) to strengthen the faith of the faithful, (4) to remove all traces of doubt from the hearts of Christians, Jews, as well as the believers, and (5) to expose those who harbor doubt in their hearts, and the disbelievers; they will say, "What did GOD mean by this allegory?" GOD thus sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. None knows the soldiers of your Lord except He. This is a reminder for the people. We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be 1) a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; 2) that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and 3) that believers may increase in faith; and 4) that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and 5) that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude ? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. And none but angels have we made wardens of the Fire. And WE have not fixed their number except as a 1) trial for those who disbelieve, 2) so that those, who have been given the Book, may attain certainty and 3) those who believe may increase in faith, and 4) those, who have been given the Book as well as the believers, may not doubt, and 5) that those in whose hearts is disease and the disbelievers may say, `What does ALLAH mean by such an illustration ?' Thus does ALLAH leave to go astray whom HE pleases and guide whom HE pleases. And none knows the host of thy Lord but HE. And this is nothing but a reminder for man. And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but 1) as a trial for those who disbelieve, 2) that those who have been given the book may be certain and 3) those who believe may increase in faith, and 4) those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and 5) that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals. Anyone knows that a translation is never done word by word. This would not do justice in a different language to the essence and intended meaning of the verse. One such example would be 2:189, in which God tells the human being to be straightforward. The words used in Arabic is something along the lines of, "you shall not enter the homes through the backdoors".
Here are 4 translations of this passage other than that of Rashad Khalifa:
Verse No Pickthall Shakir Sher Ali Yusuf Ali 189 They ask thee, (O Muhammad), of new moons, say: They are fixed seasons for mankind and for the pilgrimage. It is not righteousness that ye go to houses by the backs thereof (as do the idolaters at certain seasons), but the righteous man is he who wardeth off (evil). So go to houses by the gates thereof, and observe your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful. They ask you concerning the new moon. Say: They are times appointed for (the benefit of) men, and (for) the pilgrimage; and it is not righteousness that you should enter the houses at their backs, but righteousness is this that one should guard (against evil); and go into the houses by their doors and be careful (of your duty) to Allah, that you may be successful. They ask thee about the new moons. Say, `They are means for measuring time, for the general convenience of people and for the Pilgrimage.' And it is not righteousness that you come into houses by the backs thereof, but truly righteous is he who fears God. And you should come into houses by the doors thereof; and fear ALLAH that you may prosper. They ask thee concerning the New Moons. Say: They are but signs to mark fixed periods of time in (the affairs of) men, and for Pilgrimage. It is no virtue if ye enter your houses from the back: It is virtue if ye fear God. Enter houses through the proper doors: And fear God: That ye may prosper Now, compare this with Rashad Khalifa's translation, which conveys the intended meaning in English perfectly.
Verse No Khalifa 2:189 They ask you about the phases of the moon! Say, "They provide a timing device for the people, and determine the time of Hajj." It is not righteous to beat around the bush;* righteousness is attained by upholding the commandments and by being straightforward. You shall observe GOD, that you may succeed. This phenomena of translating it word for word, failing to understand the essence of the verse, is probably not better conveyed in any other verse than 22:15. In this verse we see four translators suggest the most strange things, including suicide in case one harbours any doubts about God's support. Furthermore, two of the translators below have added the name of Muhammad to this verse (in brackets), although there is no evidence that this verse refers to Muhammad specifically.
Verse No Pickthall Shakir Sher Ali Yusuf Ali 22:15 Whoso is wont to think (through envy) that Allah will not give him (Muhammad) victory in the world and the Hereafter (and is enraged at the thought of his victory), let him stretch a rope up to the roof (of his dwelling), and let him hang himself. Then let him see whether his strategy dispelleth that whereat he rageth!. Whoever thinks that Allah will not assist him in this life and the hereafter, let him stretch a rope to the ceiling, then let him cut (it) off, then let him see if his struggle will take away that at which he is enraged. Whoso thinks that ALLAH will not help him in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch a rope to heaven, and let him cut it off. Then let him see if his device can remove that which enrages him. If any think that God will not help him (His Apostle) in this world and the Hereafter, let him stretch out a rope to the ceiling and cut (himself) off: then let him see whether his plan will remove that which enrages (him)! Now, compare the above with the translation of Rashad Khalifa. You be the judge of which makes more sense and does more justice to the intended meaning.
Verse No Khalifa 22:15 If anyone thinks that GOD cannot support him in this life and in the Hereafter, let him turn completely to (his creator in) heaven, and sever (his dependence on anyone else). He will then see that this plan eliminates anything that bothers him. He has done his best TO GIVE AN IMPRESSION that "but a fitna for disbelievers" is *only one* out of five functions of "their number". While in arabic the verse says that "but a fitna for those who disbelieve(d)" is the *only function* of "their number" and that all other functions/things mentioned in the verse will be a result of a fitna that is caused by their number, that is, by their number being made but a fitna for those who disbelieved. (This is why imo piktchal puts a semicolon after words "but a fitna for disbelievers" and between rk`s 2nd and 3rd function, according to piktchal there is no colon nor semicolon , but there is conjunction waw/and) For the same purpose RK omited conjunctions waw/and between 2nd and 3rd function and between 3rd and 4th function cause in original arabic there is no conjunction waw/and between his alleged 1st and 2nd function(to make it looks as only one out of five functions). If there was conjunction waw/and after words "but a fitna for disbelievers", only then it be possible to count "attaining certainity and inceasing faith etc" mentioned in the verse as equal functions of their number, together with its function of being "but a fitna for those who disbelieve".
So your conclusion is that since the Quran reads that Hell has 19 angels, this fact will disturb the disbelievers so badly that it will increase the faith of the faithful, convince the Christians and Jews that the Quran is a divine scripture, and it will make those with doubts in their hearts discuss amongst themselves, "what did God mean by this allegory!?"
And this actually makes sense to you?! Have you ever in your life, or has ever anyone you know, heard people discuss amongst themselves of why Hell has 19 angels?!! Regardless of how many or how few, our only concern will have to be to stay out of going there to find out. If God chose to place one there, that would be enough. If He chose to place 19 there, that is enough. Our concern and focus should be on applying God's message to our lives, that is, in this day and age, the proven word, being the Quran, so we don't have to be among those who are led to Hell in throngs because they rejected God's messengers.
[39:71] Those who disbelieved will be led to Hell in throngs. When they get to it, and its gates are opened, its guards will say, "Did you not receive messengers from among you, who recited to you the revelations of your Lord, and warned you about meeting this day?" They will answer, "Yes indeed. But the word `retribution' was already stamped upon the disbelievers."
Mind you, to come to this conclusion, rather than accept the conclusion of the one who was blessed by God to unveil this hidden secret in the Quran, you have to ignore thousands of clear and straightforward and verifiable facts derived from the Quran, which proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the Quran is a mathematically composed scripture, based on the number 19, which could not have been authored by other than God Almighty!

1. The first verse (1:1),known as "Basmalah," consists of 19 letters.
2. The Quran consists of 114 suras, which is ..............19 x 6. 3. The total number of verses in the Quran is 6346, or ....19 x 334.
[6234 numbered verses & 112 un-numbered verses4. The Basmalah occurs 114 times, despite its conspicuous
absence from Sura 9 (it occurs twice in Sura 27) & 114= 19x6.
5. From the missing Basmalah of Sura 9 to the extra

6. It follows that the total of the sura numbers from
9 to 27 (9+10+11+12+...+26+27) is 342, or .............19 x 18.

(14 sets of initials) equals 836, or ................. 19 x 44.
17. Between the first initialed sura (Sura 2) and the last
initialed sura (Sura 68) there are 38 un-initialed suras 19 x 2.

19. The Quran mentions 30 different numbers: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,

It is also important to mention at this stage, the the revelation of the Quran coincided with the solar year 1974. This is exactly 1406 years (or 19x74 years) after the revelation of the Quran. If anyone thinks that any human being can decide when to born and then to discover hundreds of mathematical facts in the Quran which are indisputable to coincide with these numbers, then there is not much more to say to such a person than "peace, to you is your faith to me is mine". The fact that the number 19 is mentioned in Sura 74 in view of the above date specifics is absolutely miraculous, and are coincidences which cannot be reproduced by human beings.
At least that is a conclusion that any sincere believer in the Quran must come to, considering the fact that God made it a law that only those who He grants access, can find anything in the Quran, much less reveal any miracle:
[56:77] This is an honorable Quran.
[56:78] In a protected book.
[56:79] None can grasp it except the sincere.*
[40:78] We have sent messengers before you - some of them we mentioned to you, and some we did not mention to you. No messenger can produce any miracle without GOD's authorization.* Once GOD's judgment is issued, the truth dominates, and the falsifiers are exposed and humiliated.
Yet, here we have people who claim to believe in and uphold the Quran who are strongly disturbed by findings derived from the Quran, which is accompanied by two fundamental conclusions. 1) ONLY GOD is worthy of worship, 2) Our source should be the Quran alone.
Go figure. Yet, these people who claim to be believers in the Quran keep themselves very busy trying to convince you to not even look at the miracle by presenting flimsy excuses as the one here below:
It is obvious that listing does not starts by fitna, but by "that those who are given the book attain certainity"…etc. Their number is not made but a fitna, and then(!) comes word "to/that"- to/that:1.those who are given the book attain certainity,2.those who believe to increase faith etc And not: their number is :1 to disturb/ fitna,2. to atain certainity 3etc Since there is no conjunction waw/and after words "but a fitna for those who disbelieve"-1st function of their number according rk- it is pretty clear that "but a fitna for disbelievers" is the MAIN and only function of No 19 and not first of five, and enumerating/listing starts after those words and not before them, that is, all functions listed after words "fitna for those who disbelieve" are not caused by their number itself but by their number being but a fitna/punishement (in hereafter) for those who disbelieve.
If this person was so sure that the miracle was a hoax, why does he not simply give you the link to the gathered information about it and ask you to take a look for yourself?
Or does he sincerely believe that giving you his idea of how one should translate "waw" (and in Arabic) as "but a" or "and" or make it a silent word as in "(and) to..." is a more effective way in convincing you. Apparently he thinks so.
Our suggestion is that you take God's promise seriously and take it to heart that you do not need to know Arabic to understand God's message.
The Quran Must Be Translated
[26:198] If we revealed this to people who do not know Arabic.[26:199] And had him recite it (in Arabic), they could not possibly believe in it.
[14:4] We did not send any messenger except (to preach) in the tongue of his people, in order to clarify things for them. GOD then sends astray whomever He wills, and guides whomever He wills. He is the Almighty, the Most Wise.
Then we suggest you take your hearing, eyesight and brains, and thus your own salvation seriously, and take a look at it for yourself, as God commands you to.
[17:36] You shall not accept any information, unless you verify it for yourself. I have given you the hearing, the eyesight, and the brain, and you are responsible for using them.
And do not be like those who will be told on the Day of Judgement:
[40:50] They will say, "Did you not receive your messengers who delivered to you clear messages?" They will reply, "Yes we did." They will say, "Then implore (as much as you wish); the imploring of the disbelievers is always in vain."
[10:39] Indeed, they have rejected this without studying and examining it, and before understanding it. Thus did those before them disbelieve.
Choose instead to be among those who know that they invite to God on the basis of a clear proof:
[12:108] Say, "This is my path: I invite to GOD, on the basis of a clear proof, and so do those who follow me. GOD be glorified. I am not an idol worshiper." Therefore, note the consequences for the transgressors.
Let's see what other things in "Arabic" to confuse you and to lead you away from the straightforward facts this person has to offer:
This is what verse says in arabic, this is natural reading and imo is obvious fact, EXCEPT in the case if someone is confused and heavily influenced with preconcieved idea of existing a consistent miraculous patern of 19 divisibility in quran.His translation is too distorted and it hardly convey the meaning of the verse.
So, here is is saying "in arabic" this is what it means...and what that is exactly in his mind is a bit hard to discern reading all his statements. What he also concludes here is that Rashad "hardly convey the meaning of the verse." Hardly?
How about reading the entire sura 74 (Title: THe Hidden Secret) to put this verse in the context which God intended it. You be the judge of the meaning.
Verse No Khalifa Yusuf Ali 1 O you hidden secret.* O thou wrapped up (in the mantle)! 2 Come out and warn. Arise and deliver thy warning! 3 Extol your Lord. And thy Lord do thou magnify! 4 Purify your garment.* And thy garments keep free from stain! 5 Forsake what is wrong. And all abomination shun! 6 Be content with your lot. Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)! 7 Steadfastly commemorate your Lord. But, for thy Lord's (Cause), be patient and constant! 8 Then, when the horn is blown. Finally, when the Trumpet is sounded, 9 That will be a difficult day. That will be- that Day - a Day of Distress,- 10 For the disbelievers, not easy. Far from easy for those without Faith. 11 Let Me deal with one I created as an individual. Leave Me alone, (to deal) with the (creature) whom I created (bare and) alone!- 12 I provided him with lots of money. To whom I granted resources in abundance, 13 And children to behold. And sons to be by his side!- 14 I made everything easy for him. To whom I made (life) smooth and comfortable! 15 Yet, he is greedy for more. Yet is he greedy-that I should add (yet more);- 16 He stubbornly refused to accept these proofs. By no means! For to Our Signs he has been refractory! 17 I will increasingly punish him. Soon will I visit him with a mount of calamities! 18 For he reflected, then decided. For he thought and he plotted;- 19 Miserable is what he decided. And woe to him! How he plotted!- 20 Miserable indeed is what he decided. Yea, Woe to him; How he plotted!- 21 He looked. Then he looked round; 22 He frowned and whined. Then he frowned and he scowled; 23 Then he turned away arrogantly. Then he turned back and was haughty; 24 He said, "This is but clever magic! Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 25 "This is human made." "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 26 I will commit him to retribution. Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! 27 What retribution! And what will explain to thee what Hell-Fire is? 28 Thorough and comprehensive. Naught doth it permit to endure, and naught doth it leave alone!- 29 Obvious to all the people. Thus doth God leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. 32 Absolutely, (I swear) by the moon. Nay, verily: By the Moon, 33 And the night as it passes. And by the Night as it retreateth, 34 And the morning as it shines. And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 35 This is one of the great miracles.* This is but one of the mighty (portents), 36 A warning to the human race. A warning to mankind,- 37 For those among you who wish to advance, or regress. To any of you that chooses to press forward, or to follow behind;- 38 Every soul is trapped by its sins. Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 39 Except for those on the right. Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 40 While in Paradise, they will ask. (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 41 About the guilty. And (ask) of the Sinners: 42 "What brought you to this retribution?" "What led you into Hell Fire?" 43 They will say, "We did not observe the contact prayers (Salat). They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 44 "We did not feed the poor. "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 45 "We blundered with the blunderers. "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 46 "We disbelieved in the Day of Judgment. "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 47 "Until certainty came to us now." "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 48 The intercession of the intercessors will never help them. Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 49 Why are they so averse to this reminder? Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 50 Running like zebras. As if they were affrighted asses, 51 Who are fleeing from the lion! Fleeing from a lion! 52 Does each one of them want to receive the scripture personally? Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 53 Indeed, they do not fear the Hereafter. By no means! But they fear not the Hereafter, 54 Indeed, this is a reminder. Nay, this surely is an admonition: 55 For those who wish to take heed. Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 56 They cannot take heed against GOD's will. He is the source of righteousness; He is the source of forgiveness. But none will keep it in remembrance except as God wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. The verse says that FITNA for those who disbelieve is the prime, main and the ONLY FUNCTION of "their number". All other "functions/things mentioned in the verse are result of their number being fitna/punishement /torment.( We have NOT made their number - BUT a fitna for those who disbelieve; that…) So it is not their number itself that will do the job of convincing , but their number being nothing "BUT A FITNA/ punishement/torment for those who disbelieve(in hereafter) " will do the job of convincing/getting certainity and increasing imaan of the people in this world).
What horrible conclusions is it that these people who support the miracle of the Quran will come to, to cause this strong distress for you? That the Quran is the unaltered, perfectly preserved word of God? That God alone should be worshiped as preached by all His prophets and messengesr?
You have answered this in one of the previous posts, in which you expose the fact that you have a problem with dedicating all your worship to God alone, but want to insist on mentioning Muhammad's name in your Salat. This goes against the very foundation of the Quranic teachings, which is the issue you are really having problems with.
The miracle without the conclusions was first very well received in the greater 'Muslims' world, and Rashad Khalifa was deemed a hero for his discoveries and was treated as a dignitary in the Muslim world. That was until he came to the inevtibable conclusion that the Muslims en masse had in fact been led away from the message in the Quran in favor of the innovations Hadith and Sunnah, which have nothing to do with God's message or with prophet Muhammad, but are lies which have unjustly been attributed to the religion.
When Rashad Khalifa stated that Quran alone should be our source, and that we must abandon the innovations hadith and sunnah, the whole 'muslim' world made a u turn and eventually had him stabbed to death in the masjid out of which he was working in Tucson.
A group of traditional Muslims were prosecuted and convicted for his murder.
Here below the writer who opposes the miracle of 19 based on thousands of clear, straightforward and verifiable facts continue to try to convince you that when God says "over it is nineteen" and explains all the effects it will have on mankind, this is in reference to the number of angels that will guard Hell.
19 angels being but a torment/punishement for dibelievers in hell will do the job and not No 19 itself and not code 19 ...Their number being but a fitna/punishement/torment for "those who disbelieved" reffers to hereafter, and functions listen after "their number being but a fitna" reffers to this world...19 stands for /symbolise/represent 19 angels of saqar/hellfire ...(see post scriptum-p.s. for one clarification more) 19 angels of hell fire is a description/example/symbol of torturing in hell fire- one of the main quranic concepts and admonitions, and according Quran - quranic doctrines and admonitions are of use to people...they increases faith and help to people get to certainity and help them to avoid/stop falling in doubts...19 stern and severe guardians/employees in hell who perform torment(19 angels) will do the job of increasing and not the code... reading Gods verses=>fearing of fire and its angels=> avoiding evil and following quran and reading quran=> increasing in faith
Please answer how this is established as "one of the great miracles" (74:35) and how this will "convince the Christians and the Jews that this (the Quran) is a divine scripture." (74:31)
It doesn't make any sense to conclude that those who disbelieve (which means they disbelieve in God and in the Hereafter) will be so disturbed by being told that Hell (which they don't believe in), have 19 angels guarding its gates that it will remove doubts in the hearts of the believers and convince the followers of previous scriptures that the Quran is indeed the word of God.
What does make all the sense however is that those who disbelieve, but claim to believe, are highly disturbed by the revelation of the miracle of 19, as it proves that they are only offering lip-service in regard to their faith, as they are not upholding the Quran as they claim:
[9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.
[9:32] They want to put out GOD's light with their mouths, but GOD insists upon perfecting His light, in spite of the disbelievers.
[9:34] O you who believe, many religious leaders and preachers take the people's money illicitly, and repel from the path of GOD. Those who hoard the gold and silver, and do not spend them in the cause of GOD, promise them a painful retribution.
[2:87] We gave Moses the scripture, and subsequent to him we sent other messengers, and we gave Jesus, son of Mary, profound miracles and supported him with the Holy Spirit. Is it not a fact that every time a messenger went to you with anything you disliked, your ego caused you to be arrogant? Some of them you rejected, and some of them you killed.
[34:33] The followers will say to their leaders, "It was you who schemed night and day, then commanded us to be unappreciative of GOD, and to set up idols to rank with Him." They will be ridden with remorse, when they see the retribution, for we will place shackles around the necks of
those who disbelieved. Are they not justly requited for what they did?When someone who rejects the miracle speaks with you, you simply ask them what conclusions that accompany the miracle they disagree with. You will find that it is always connected with their unwillingness to dedicate their worship to God alone and to uphold the Quran alone as their source.
This will show in their worship practices which will have innovations in them and which will have the mention and/or commemoration of other entities/names, than that of God.
Quran is full of warnings(ZIKR)AND ADMONITIONS.. Warnings with hell fire is one of main doctrines of Quran...And Quran itself is called ZIKR/warning/reminder .... You can not find a single page of Quran without mention of THIS WARNING AND ADMONITION- the hell fire... People are warned/reminded in Quran to save themselves from the fire UPON IT (are)MALAIKAH- strong and severe who are flinch not from performing any commands of their Lord(punishing and torturing of disbelievers in hell)...(66/6) UPON IT (are) NINETEEN 74/30 So malaikah and their number are but a description and means and example of torturing in hell fire
The Quran contains warning and good news. Some people who read the Quran see nothing but brimstone and fire and Hell. Others see the promise of Paradise, everlasting bliss, promise of God's victory.
All information and signs from God serves as a great blessing for those who take heed, and at the same time it serves as a warning for those who do not.
The inevitable conclusions, as a believer in the Quran, would have to be that God wishes for us to uphold the Quranic teachings. The insistence of the writer of this challenge to try to discredit the miracle without producing any concrete evidence of why and without giving even one example of how he feels that the Quranic message is being misrepresented by those who support the miracle, is very telling.
What is the most important-- such quranic warnings according to Quran have power to increase faith of believers and have a power to increase in people awarness of hearafter and all the truths and purposes of their lifes, and to help the people(who read about these warnings in God`s book, and who "believe" in it, but are not convinced and are not on level of certainity) to attain certainity... Fearing of the punishement in hearafter force people to make good deeds, to be just , to read Quran, to learn, to strive in Gods path and to obey Allah commands in Quran and acting that way they attain certainity and increase their faith...and are prevented from falling in doubts... Does not reading of Quran ITSELF and its admonitions,morals,lessons, messages, wisdoms have CONVINCING power??
Some people will believe in and uphold the Quran without being aquainted with the miracle, no doubt. Those people are however very few as we have clearly seen. Most people who refer to themselves as 'Muslim' today do not uphold the Quran. In fact, they do not do anything right according to the Quran. Every single worship practice has been distorted, and the absolute majority of so called muslims in the world today nullify all their worship by associating Muhammad, Ali or some other person with God in their worship practices. Beyond that they attribute laws to the religion which has no support in the Quran, which according to the Quran is not acceptible.

They wonder:" but why 19 malaikah"? "Why do you think god chooses the "number" of the angles over saqar to be 19...?" I will answer with another question : Why EIGHT malaikah will carry arsh(throne) of Allah at j day as mentioned in Quran?? Why do you think God choses 8 angels to carrie His throne at J day?? 69/17 And the angels will be on its sides, and EIGHT will bear, that Day, above them, the Throne of thy Lord.

Nobody among the supporters of the miracle thinks about this. They already know that the miracle of 19 is something which has been around for as long as man set foot on earth. It is stamped on every human being in his or her number of bones, which are divisibel by 19 (209). It is made manifest in the time it takes to create every single human being, which is 266 days or 38 weeks, both number divisible by 19. It was first discovered in the original scriptures by a Jewsih Rabbi called Rabbi Judah the Pious, who wrote eight volumes on the subject. It provides the explaination to the mysterious initials which has been a mystery to muslim scholars for over 1400 years. They never understood what "these letters are proofs of this scripture" meant. Now we know.
The only ones who are talking about the number of angels in Hell are people like yourself, who are trying to divert peoples attention away from all the thousands of powerful, clear, straightforward and verifiable facts surrounding the miracle.

I really do not know Gods secrets and why 19 angels suits the best to be guardian and performer of torments in hell... as well as i have no idea why 8 angels suits the best to carrie the Throne at J-day... Some new code? Code 8? Why there are exactly 11 players in soccer? Why not 12 ? Why not 10? God knows why exactly 19 angels are needed in hell...And it is not of a big importance to us...Our major concer should be to avoid the punishement which they perform... The phrase "None knows the soldiers of your Lord except He" seems to me as a good explanation for this. No one knows why exactly 19 malaikah are upon hell fire...only God know his soldiers- their characteristics, their capabilities, and He knows why he chosed exactly 19 malaikah, but we know that their purpose is to punish and torture disbelievers in hell (66/6) Probably the traits of malaikahs are such that it requires to be 19 of them in order to perfectly and effectively perform all the comands of punishing and and torturing of disbelievers in hell.
Here again, you are the one who are continuing to ask yousrelf "why 19?" and are theorizing about it.
We are not. We know what God meant by "over it is nineteen". Rashad Khalifa did not ask "why 19?". When he first discovered part of the meaning of the quranic initials he did not know that it was directly connected to totals that produced multiples of 19. 19 was not even on his mind. At that time, in his first reports, he published the observations that consistently the quranic intials were the most frequently occuring letters in their respective suras.
When he discovered that both sura 42 and sura 50 had 57 Q's respectively, he started to note a specific numerical pattern. The fact that 57+57= 114, which is the number of Quranic chapters, and in view of the fact that verse 50:1 reads; Q, and the glorious Quran; told him that Q stands for Quran, and these number of initials in these Q-initialed suras were deliberate for this purpose. Still no mention or thought about 19 at this stage.
If God made/set/appointed some other number, people would again ask: why this number? Why not some other number? Why exactly this number? Why not this and that?.. I leave them to God... (some said that 19 symbolise a large, indefinite number, this also makes sense - a lot of malaikah for torturing of disbelievers in hell) On the other side God surely knew that one day will come some people who will want to extricate some unquranic doctrines using parts of some verses so He gave them a chance ...(3/7)
Again, the only people who are asking "why 19" are those who reject the code. To do so they need to knowingly reject thousands of facts directly derived from the Quran, and also choose to continune to knowingly oppose the clear teachings contained in the Quran.
[6:114] Shall I seek other than GOD as a source of law, when He has revealed to you this book fully detailed?* Those who received the scripture recognize that it has been revealed from your Lord, truthfully. You shall not harbor any doubt.

Also, nowhere, in fully detailed Quran , I repeat NOWHERE God mentioned that some mathemathico-numerical code, or sign called 19 that will increase faith, BUT...HE said MANY times in Quran that warnings of Quran,of which hell fire (and all of its the torments performed by angels there) is the most frequent, will be of use to people for increasing iman/faith and attaining iman and certainity...

The conclusions that accompany the miracle of the Quran is that there should be no sects among us. All believers in one God should join together under God's true religion, as preached by the Quran. God condemns sectarianism, and so do we.
[6:159] Those who divide themselves into sects do not belong with you. Their judgment rests with GOD, then He will inform them of everything they had done.
[30:32] (Do not fall in idol worship,) like those who divide their religion into sects; each party rejoicing with what they have.

The phrase "this/it is a reminder to people" in 74/31 reffer to Quran/his verses/admonitions and/or hell as it is explained further in 74/32-37 (74/36 "this/it is but an admonition/nadhiran for all people") and not to code 19... thats because the theme of the passage was rejecting the verses of quran and punishement promised for it and "saqar being lawwahatun to all people" *lawwahatun/waving/gesturing/showing/* to all people (warning?) This will also be more clear if we read whole surah ...
Again, the reference to hellfire, hellfire and more hellfire. The Quran is amazing that way. It contains both good news and warnings, and words of hell and paradise. Some people will only see fire and brimstone reading it, others will see the promise of Paradise and bliss.
If we read 74/42-47 we see listed reasons for ending in saqar/hell fire and we see how their situation is bad (no intercessors) AND in next verses 74/49 -50 God says:"Why are they so averse to reminder? Running like zebras."
Yes, why are you so averse to this reminder? Who is running away like zebras from a lion? We are fully and wholeheartedly accepting the Quran as God's words. Know that if we need to apply all its decrees and principles to our lives to expect to be close to Creator in the Hereafter, and admitted into Paradise.
Please give us just one example of a principle application of the religion which you disagree with amongst those who support the whole Quran and its proof of authenticity.

p.s. This is an additional clarification of the expression "their number" mentioned in 74/31 Suppose that someone ask me: "how many lawyers we need to win this lawsuit?" There is nothing allgorical or vague about the mathematical miracle of the Quran. It is free from personal opinion, which has plagued religion for as long as religion has existed on earth.
