Challenge: The Messenger of the covenant is Muhammad (PBUH)
In this article we will analyze who the messenger of the covenant is. Is it rk, or is it Muhammad (PBUH)
First Let us look at the proof presented by rk for a cross examination.
rk says that the following verse is regarding him;
[3:81] GOD took a covenant from the prophets, saying, "I will give you the scripture and wisdom. Afterwards, a messenger will come to confirm all existing scriptures. You shall believe in him and support him." He said, "Do you agree with this, and pledge to fulfill this covenant?" They said, "We agree." He said, "You have thus borne witness, and I bear witness along with you."
Furthermore rk has given another verse in his appendix two to support this claim to prove that Muhammad (PBUH) is not the messenger of the covenant. That verse is as follows;
[33:7] Recall that we took from the prophets their covenant, including you (O Muhammad), Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus the son of Mary. We took from them a solemn pledge.
As one can see when these two verses are put together they will think," ah yes, rk is the messenger of the covenant, not Muhammad". Now let's look at the following verse;
[2:63] We made a covenant with you, as we raised Mount Sinai above you: "You shall uphold what we have given you strongly, and remember its contents, that you may be saved."
Now connect the above verse with the two verses above it and what do you get? you would say, "The covenant included the children of Israel, so they all must be prophets and the messenger of the covenant is rk and Muhammad is among those who took THAT covenant"
There are 35 verses in the Quran that contains references to covenants - covenants between people, covenants between God and people, and a covenant between God and the prophets. The only two verses that mentions the covenant between God and the prophets are 3:81 and 33:7.Now you can understand that when "covenant" is mentioned in the Quran it doesn't mean that all these are the same covenant. The covenants mentioned in the Quran are different. You can't connect each other as you like.
That is right. You cannot. Now, can you find any other verses connected to the covenant between God and the prophets?
[3:81] GOD took a covenant from the prophets....
[33:7] Recall that we took from the prophets their covenant, including you....
If you do not do careful study of rk's claims and yet follow whatever he says just and only because of 19 then you sadly i must say, are among those mentioned in the following verse:
5:68] Say, "O people of the scripture, you have no basis until you uphold the Torah, and the Gospel, and what is sent down to you herein from your Lord." For sure, these revelations from your Lord will cause many of them to plunge deeper into transgression and disbelief. Therefore, do not feel sorry for the disbelieving people.So, again you suggest that those among the previous scriptures who believe that the Quran is the unaltered word of God and try to follow it after witnessing it's proof of authenticity are disbelievers?
One would think that a person who really believes in the Quran would rejoice in such news. Consistently, throughout your challenges you strive to divert people away from paying attention to the message conveyed by Rashad Khalifa and direct people towards Hadith. You are yet to list one example of how you practice your religion differently from what he preached and why, based on your objections!!
Then you can look at my article where i have proved that there can be no messenger who is not a prophet.
Afterwards now it must be clear that whoever the messenger of the covenant maybe, it surely isn't rk, the deceiver.The evidence is absolutely overwhelming that he was the Messenger of the Covenant. Ask yourself this, regardless of your rejection of Rashad; When the messenger of the Covenant appears, what do you think he will look like? What will he say? What will be his proof?
We know from the Quran that he will be a normal person, eating food, walking the markets, having a wife and children, and being a "human being like you". So, beyond him being a normal person, what are your expectations of him?
This last part is more for any reader of this discussion, as you evidently rejects the idea of anyone coming after Muhammad, which again, is not Quranic.
Now let us look at the evidence on the side of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
According to rk prophets bring a new scripture and messengers confirm an existing scripture (appendix 2). Muhammad is a prophet (Nabi) and a messenger. If his only duty was to bring the new scripture (Quran) then why is he made a messenger by GOD? for no reason at all???? Now let's look at some Quranic evidence.We know from the Quran that there are those sent by God that recieves new scripture, and those sent by God that do not. The terms for each are different. God have sent 19 scriptures to the word, and he has listed all the prophets recieving those scriptures. As for the number of messengers He sent, we don't know how many there has been, because God says;
[40:78] We have sent messengers before you - some of them we mentioned to you, and some we did not mention to you. No messenger can produce any miracle without GOD's authorization. Once GOD's judgment is issued, the truth dominates, and the falsifiers are exposed and humiliated.

Messengership = the act of conveying a message from God. This means there is always a messenger involved when God conveys a message to us. Once the message is conveyed, EVERYONE is required to follow that message. Prophethood is not a person, it is an act and function. Messengership is not a person, it is an act and function.
Every prophet has 3 functions - 1) recieving new scripture (prophethood), 2) conveying the information (messengership), and obeying it himself (being righteous).
So, prophethood is about receiving new scripture, not conveying it. This is why every prophet must also be a messenger, but not every messenger is a prophet.
You could see messengers as 'those who make the information from God known to us.' Once the information is known to us we are all required to obey that information. The categories that WILL obey the messenger are the prophets, saints, martyrs and righteous.
Many people fail to understand that God's prophets and God 's messengers are required, like everyone else, to believe in and follow the information that comes through them.
We know the verse in which God says that "they strictly follow His commands" in reference to the messengers:
[21:27] They never speak on their own, and they strictly follow His commands.
We also know from the Quran that the part "strictly follow His commands" is in relation to the act of conveying whatever they are to convey. They are simple tools used to transfer the information to our dimension.
'Strictly follow His commands' does not mean they do everything perfectly. We have several examples of incidents in the Quran where God let's us know that in their capactiy of men, God's prophets and messengers make mistakes, misunderstand and misjudge situations, and even try to abandon their responsibilities (11:45-46, 88; 12:42; 33:37; 80:1; 21:87; 18:65-78).
[3:3] He sent down to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming all previous scriptures, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel
From the above verse we know that the Quran confirmed the previous scriptures. We do not need an rk to tell that to us as Muhammad (PBUH) has already done it by the use of the Quran.
[5:48] Then we revealed to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming previous scriptures, and superseding them. You shall rule among them in accordance with GOD's revelations, and do not follow their wishes if they differ from the truth that came to you. For each of you, we have decreed laws and different rites. Had GOD willed, He could have made you one congregation. But He thus puts you to the test through the revelations He has given each of you. You shall compete in righteousness. To GOD is your final destiny - all of you - then He will inform you of everything you had disputed.
The above verse proves that the Quran confirms all existing scripture. The Quran was revealed to prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and He was commanded by GOD to speak to the peoples; jews, christians and all. Therefore the messenger of the covenant has to be Muhammad (PBUH).The above verses talks about confirming the Torah and the Gospel, but not about confirming the Quran. The Messenger of the Covenant was sent to confirm the Quran.
Result of Analysis
*The duty of the messenger of covenant mentioned in verse 3:81 is to confirm all existing scriptures.
*Muhammad (PBUH) has fulfilled the duty mentioned in 3:81 which means that he is the messenger of the covenant.Actually no. With the revelation of the Quran, the previous scriptures were confirmed, but the proof confirming the Quran was not revealed through Muhammad. That was reserved for the Messenger Muhammad pledge to believe in and support (3:81, 33:7).
*Muhammad is a messenger of GOD
*rk is not a messenger of GOD because there is no messenger who is not a prophet.As proven several times in previous responses, this is not a Quranic conclusion. To study the Quranic evidence, click here.
*rk is no more than a dajjaal
That is your opinion, which you are entitled to and will reap the consequences of. A suggestion if we may however; please list examples of the way Rashad suggested the religion to be practiced, in real and practical terms, which you disagree with and explain why. So far you've gone through great lenghts to explain that you object when it comes to Rashad Khalifa being the Messenger of the Covenant, but you have not explained even once, what in your practices that disagree with what Rashad preached, and what you base those specific objections on.
Surely, if Rashad was a devil as you claim, your arguments, based on the Quran, would far supersede anything he and/or any of his followers had to offer. So, here are some questions for you.
Do you mention other names in your Salat? If so, why?
When you proclaim your Shahaadah, do you mention Muhammad's name next to God's name? If so, why?
How do you pay Zakat and why?
How do you do your Wudu and why?
What religious rules and rites do you think Rashad misrepresented and why?
*Muhammad (PBUH) is the messenger of the covenant.
Muhammad was one of God's prophets. He is dead now (39:30). He did his job well and left us the complete message he was commissioned to gradually deliver over a period of 23 years (17:106).
[17:106] A Quran that we have released slowly, in order for you to read it to the people over a long period, although we sent it down all at once.
Muhammad was one of the prophets pledging to believe in and support God's Messenger of the Covenant that was to come after the revelations of the scriptures. Are you suggesting that Muhammad first was a prophet, then became God's Messenger of the Covenant after 23 years of releasing the Quran? If he was the Messenger of the Covenant, don't you think he would have at least told someone that he was?
