Challenge: Is delivering the Quran the Only duty of prophet Muhammad

This is an article which looks at a key point mentioned by rk in his appendix12;

"Delivering the Quran was such a momentous and noble mission that the Prophet did not have any time to do anything else"

I wonder what rk is trying to say by saying "did not have time to do anything else". Let me point down a few things for which he did have time for which evidence can be found from the Quran;

1)[2:25] Give good news to those who believe and lead a righteous life that they will have gardens with flowing streams. When provided with a provision of fruits therein, they will say, "This is what was provided for us previously." Thus, they are given allegorical descriptions. They will have pure spouses therein, and they abide therein forever.

*Muhammad (PBUH) gave good news to the people about paradise and what the believers deserved*

This is nonsense. Obviously Muhammad read the Quran, preached the Quran and passed on all the information in the Quran to his contemporaries. The point Rashad was making here is that it took a long time, 23 years to be exact, to gradually release the Quran from Muhammad's soul into his memory.

[25:32] Those who disbelieved said, "Why did not the Quran come through him all at once?" We have released it to you gradually, in order to fix it in your memory. We have recited it in a specific sequence.

[17:106] A Quran that we have released slowly, in order for you to read it to the people over a long period, although we sent it down all at once.

The falsifiers claim that during this time, Muhammad also preached tens of thousands of other regulations besides the Quran during this time, which are now gathered in Hadith and Sunnah.

2)[2:189] They ask you about the phases of the moon! Say, "They provide a timing device for the people, and determine the time of Hajj." It is not righteous to beat around the bush; righteousness is attained by upholding the commandments and by being straightforward. You shall observe GOD, that you may succeed.

*Muhammad (PBUH) explained what the phases of the new moons were for*

Rashad's statement was, "Delivering the Quran was such a momentous and noble mission that the Prophet did not have any time to do anything else."

Deliver = bring, convey, hand over, transfer, provide, express, communicate, put across.

3)[2:215] They ask you about giving: say, "The charity you give shall go to the parents, the relatives, the orphans, the poor, and the traveling alien." Any good you do, GOD is fully aware thereof.

*Muhammad (PBUH) explained for whom they shall spend for*

See comment above.

4)[2:222] They ask you about menstruation: say, "It is harmful; you shall avoid sexual intercourse with the women during menstruation; do not approach them until they are rid of it. Once they are rid of it, you may have intercourse with them in the manner designed by GOD. GOD loves the repenters, and He loves those who are clean."

*The prophet (PBUH) explained about menstruation*

5)[14:1] A.L.R. A* scripture that we revealed to you, in order to lead the people out of darkness into the light - in accordance with the will of their Lord - to the path of the Almighty, the Praiseworthy.

*The prophet (PBUH) lead people out of the darkness into the light*

The prophet did not lead the people out of darkness into the light. The words from God that he delivered did and still do, for those who wish to take heed. Muhammad is no longer here. He did his job and left behind what was revealed through him.

[3:144] Muhammad was no more than a messenger like the messengers before him. Should he die or get killed, would you turn back on your heels? Anyone who turns back on his heels, does not hurt GOD in the least. GOD rewards those who are appreciative.

[39:30] You (Muhammad) will surely die, just like they will die.

[7:188]  Say, "I have no power to benefit myself, or harm myself. Only what GOD wills happens to me. If I knew the future, I would have increased my wealth, and no harm would have afflicted me. I am no more than a warner, and a bearer of good news for those who believe."

[13:16] Say, "Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?" Say, "GOD." Say, "Why then do you set up besides Him masters who do not possess any power to benefit or harm even themselves?" Say, "Is the blind the same as the seer? Is darkness the same as the light?" Have they found idols besides GOD who created creations similar to His creations, to the point of not distinguishing the two creations? Say, "GOD is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Supreme."

[2:272] You are not responsible for guiding anyone. GOD is the only one who guides whoever chooses (to be guided). Any charity you give is for your own good. Any charity you give shall be for the sake of GOD. Any charity you give will be repaid to you, without the least injustice.

6)[21:45] Say, "I am warning you in accordance with divine inspiration." However, the deaf cannot hear the call, when they are warned.

*Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) warned the people of what was to come"

See comments above.

7)[62:6] Say, "O you who are Jewish, if you claim that you are GOD's chosen, to the exclusion of all other people, then you should long for death if you are truthful!"

*Muhammad (PBUH) spoke to the jewish to expose there false beliefs of thinking that they are superior to all humans"

See comments above.

8)[4:102] When you are with them, and lead the Contact Prayer (Salat) for them, let some of you stand guard; let them hold their weapons, and let them stand behind you as you prostrate. Then, let the other group that has not prayed take their turn praying with you, while the others stand guard and hold their weapons. Those who disbelieved wish to see you neglect your weapons and your equipment, in order to attack you once and for all. You commit no error, if you are hampered by rain or injury, by putting down your weapons, so long as you remain alert. GOD has prepared for the disbelievers a shameful retribution.

*Muhammad went to war for fighting in the way of Allah*

Muhammad lived. Part of his life was having a wife, eating, sleeping, working, talking about the Quran, and being part of the group defending the believers against the attackers (2:190).

The point, Again, that Rashad made, is that delivering the Quran was an immense task. To suggest that Muhammad in this time produced tens of thousands of Hadiths, that traditionalists now claim are part of Islam, is nonsense. It is also an insult against the Prophet as it suggests that he ignored God's law forbidding him to utter any other teachings besides the Quran (69:44-48).

9)[2:97] Say, "Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought down this (Quran) into your heart, in accordance with GOD's will, confirming previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers."

*The prophet (PBUH) advised that no one should oppose Gabriel*

See comments above.

The evidence I have produced clearly indicates that rk's claims saying that "Delivering the Quran was such a momentous and noble mission that the Prophet did not have any time to do anything else" is clearly false.

The thing that is clearly indicated by your challenges here is that you are sadly missing the entire point made by Rashad.
